Hi, I’m Matt, a rigorous, passionate, and focused tutor.  To get measurements out of the way, I went to Brown University, where I majored in Modern Culture and Media. 800 SAT Verbal, 99th percentile overall, with over 5 years of experience, both privately and for all the big companies on the Westside. But that’s not why you should hire me. Credentials don’t make a great tutor.

What really sets me apart, what makes me different, is my ability to tailor instruction to each individual student.  Whether motivation, organization, or just conquering fear, I’m flexible and specific.  Different people need different things, and I adjust to different learning styles. I don’t have a set philosophy, except to figure out how you learn and adapt to that.  There’s no one way to teach, but I believe that flexible, creative thinking, in addition to some hard work, are the foundation.
